Just got back from work and went straight to my room upstairs. I passed by KJ's room... empty. Yes, it's been a month since he went back to the university to resume his studies. That one-month summer vacation just didn’t feel long enough for us to bond. I’d go to work every day, while he’d head to the basketball court with his local teammates in the subdivision. Well, life must go on. If everything goes according to plan, he’ll be back in Quezon City for good in four years.
Location
On the farm, dressed in my farmer’s get-up - rubber boots, leggings, sleeveless blouse, sunglasses... and hey, where’s my hat?
The farm is self-sufficient. We have farmhands who plant the staples we need. There’s one hectare of banana plantation and a veggie garden, five hectares of rice fields, and 3.9 hectares of fishpond. Along with several farm animals - ducks, turkeys, chickens, water ducks, pigs, goats - and countless fish in the Pacific Ocean, we have enough to supply our food year-round.
