Our Guam-based cousin and his wife invited us to lunch at
11:00 AM at Dampa, Farmers Market, Cubao, in Quezon City. Our group arrived 19
minutes early, while our cousin and his wife arrived a few minutes later. It
was nice seeing this lovely couple again ...for the nth time.
At the "paluto" seafood stalls, we ordered fresh
oysters, prawns, maya-maya, lapu-lapu, scallops, squid, and chop suey, and had
them cooked in a variety of ways by the chef at one of the stalls in Dampa.
While waiting for the food at our table, we quenched our thirst with fresh buko
juice, reminisced about the old days, and talked about our elders, our
children, our jobs, and more....until the food finally arrived.
